Professor Cao Ruonan hosted the “Cultural Confidence Presented in the English Translation Cases of Contemporary Artists’ Works”, which selects works from contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy masters, including several influential and representative artists and writers of the Shaanxi School. Based on an overview of the artists’ lives and thematic descriptions of their artworks, the project designs case studies and teaching sessions to focus on cultivating the cognitive, interpretive, and propagative abilities of graduate students majoring in English translation to promote traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy culture.
Associate Professor He Hua’s “Teaching Case of Core Values in Traditional Chinese Culture” is based on classroom observations, interviews, and evaluations of student assignments and learning outcomes related to “Traditional Chinese Culture”. By using personality stories to drive cultural learning, it enhances the enthusiasm and interest in learning. The course is closely integrated with English-Chinese translation practice through methods such as language comparison, translation comparison, and value comparison, forming clear teaching concepts and rich practical experience.
