The Northwest Division Final of the Cross-strait Interpretation Contest, jointly organized by FLTRP and Xiamen University, was held in XISU on April 24th. Deputy Dean of our college, head of the translation teaching and research center Hu Zongfeng(Hoover) was present as a judge.
31 contestants from 12 universities including Xi’an Jiaotong University, Northwest University, Xi’an International Studies University, Lanzhou University and Shihezi University and so on attend this final. Under the instruction of Supervisor Li Yan, 3 of our college students participated in this final. After the keen competition, all of our students win a prize. Wang Yudan won the second class prize; Chen Yang and Zhang Yin won the excellent prize.
This contest was jointly organized by FLTSP and Xiamen University which consists of three stages: collegiate preliminary contest, semi-finals of each division, the national final. After the final on mainland, some mainland contestants will be picked to compete with Taiwan contestants in mid-May.
